WANG Guoqiang, male, his family origin was from Anqing of Anhui Province and was born in Shanghai in March 1955. He worked in Inner Mongolia Production and Construction Corps in 1971 and joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1973. He graduated from Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1978, and received Master degree on Law and PhD on economics. He started to work in National Family Planning Commission (NFPC) in 1983, as Secretary, Deputy Division Director, Division Director of Secretary Division, Deputy Director-General of General Office, Director-General of General Office, Director-General of Department of Regulation and law, Director-General of Department of Planning and Finance respectively. He studied in the National Institute of Health under the Japanese Ministry of Health as visiting researcher in 1990. He was assigned as the head of Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of Jiao Zuo in Henan Province in 1991. Then he was appointed as CPC leading group member, Vice Minister in National Family Planning Commission in December 2000, and CPC leading group member, Vice Minister in National Population and Family Planning Commission in March 2003 and Dean of Party School in September 2003. He was also designated as Executive Vice President of China Population Association in June 2002 and Vice President in December 2007. He was assigned as CPC leading group member, Vice Minister of Ministry of Health and the Commissioner and Secretary of CPC leading group member of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in January 2007. He was also the member of the CPC in the 16 and 17 sessions and member of the 11th CCPCC (Chinese Committee on Political Consultative Conference)
